Today is the eighteenth birthday of our crown princess Amalia. From now on she can to succeed the current king Willem Alexander. And with birthdays of king, queen and their children we should add the orange banner to the flag.
The founder of our royal family House of Orange was Willem van Oranje (William of Orange). Orange is a small place in France. He inherited the principality in 1544.
