Puka

I love the native puka, it has such beautiful large glossy green leaves. This is a variegated puka in my son's garden and is rather lovely too. To the right is the flower which is rather sticky to the touch.

@kali66 They are a New Zealand native plant, although I am sure they are propagated in lots of places now. I think they need a fairly temperate climate.

yes i have one , not variegated like this though, it hides beneath pungas and escapes the frost, its marginal territory for it here
