Himba homes by dkbarnett

Himba homes

A semi-nomadic people. They were living in this settlement because there was water close. However, as soon as they had to go too far for feed for their cattle they would be on the move again. It was so hot, dry and dusty here.
Great shot and information. It does look hot, dry and dusty.

Nice capture. Couldn't imagine living in one of these though.

@littleconnie @jgpittenger @hermann It certainly was vey hot, dry and dusty.
@777margo Most of the rivers we saw in Namibia were just dry river beds, however, one of the few we saw that had a very small amount of water in was only about 5 kilometres from this settlement.
@paul10 No I agree, couldn't imagine this at all. The worst would be never having a shower or a bath!! Yet they were happy! and I bet no one suffered from depression. I think they live too socially and in need of each other for that.
@jesperani Very basic, it was rather incredible to see.
