This photograph makes me feel a bit sad. I was so excited when I saw this duckling in our pond as it is the first time we have had native ducks have ducklings here. Unfortunately this duckling has disappeared and I am not sure how it met its fate. I was watching its poor mother was calling for it a couple of days later and it never came!
