Slipway at Whakatipu

At the bottom of Park Street, Queenstown are a lot of boathouses along with slipways into the lake. This black and white is in response to a challenge from my get-pushed partner this week @tdaug80 who challenged me to do some black and white images. Obviously my album is looking a bit too colourful! I do like black and white as my goal is to be able to do something that could almost be called 'fine art' and I think b&w would probably lend itself to this more.
We flew to Queenstown yesterday. Hopefully on a flight that didn't contain any Omicron cases!
@tdaug80 - here is a black and white photo in response to your challenge. Actually I have realised that the photo I posted for Valentine's day is also b&w. I should have tagged that one too.

Awesome capture.

@dkbarnett This one fits the challenge that you gave me, also. This subject works well in B&W. Good B&W images need strong contrasts between light and dark.

@tdaug80 Thanks - I do like black and white, and I think it works well if trying to do more fine art photos. Not sure I have got there yet, but always try!!
