Not even out yet, but I had to share. I have had these growing in my garden for many years and it is so exciting to see a flower bud - the first ever for this particular bed of plants. For those who aren't from New Zealand, these are a spectacular native plant hailing from the Poor Knights Islands in the north. (Xeronema) When they are in the right place they have lots of spectacular bottle brush looking flowers.
They are so lovely My friends mother had permission enabling her to land on the Poor nights Islands , she was a well known Northlander as was her father
@littleconnie@dide Thank you - will try and get a shot when it comes out properly @elkereturns Thanks so much @paul10 It was shadow from other shrubs and a small hedge - probably helped with a bit of extra contrast! @eudora Thanks Diane @merrelyn Yes Merrelyn, it is a stunning plant, and the flowers last for ages. @Dawn That is fascinating Dawn.
