Funny little fellow

I went for a walk a wee way up Noosa Heads with my camera. I spotted this tiny little insect. Have not idea what he is. Or even if he is a he actually.

it's an ant species. it probably is a male as ant females or queens never leave the nests (as far as i remember my high school biology). aces on the shot.

@summerfield - thank you - it is good to know what it is. I enjoyed taking photographs of ants in Aussie as some of them were much larger than the tiny ants we have here.
