Finally made it to the place where this majestic wild olive tree lives. With a circumference of about 18m and an estimate life of 3 to 4,000 years, he is considered one of the most ancient living trees in Europe. To get it into my 35mm lens, I had to collage 8 photos. The vintage edit is a tribute to this veteran on Earth.
What a magnificent old tree. Imagine what he would've seen over those three or four millenia, wow. Love your tribute to this oldster, he's truly wonderful.
@overalvandaan Thank you. And yes, it is awesome. I was speechless. @helenhall He was a little bush when the Nuraghes were built. @graemestevens Thank you a lot! @ltodd Thank you, Lyn. It is in Gallura, Northern Sardinia, near the Liscia Lake in the municipality of Luras. @golftragic Thanks a lot. Truly wonderful @s4sayer Thanks to you, Margo. I felt smallest. @joemuli haha, don't know. I can't imagine the cost in doctors and medicines! @dbj_365 Yes, thousands. This gentleman was here one to two millennia before Rome was built. @leonbuys83 I bet! thank you, Leon!
