Red is the new black by domenicododaro

Red is the new black

Spotted in Milan. I cut away the photographer who was photographing her, from the wrong perspective, IMHO.
love this fav

And now you have a wonderfully angled photo :) now I would be curious to see that photographer's version!

@moviegal1 Thank you very much, Kerri!
@kerosene Thanks, Caroline! Much less interesting, I bet, and without reflection in the pond...

Surely this should be set in Venice? The red coat, the dagger hidden inside.... I could read it as a budget 'Don't Look Now'

Interesting and a little depressing...but great reflections and pop of red

I absolutely l love this! The color pops just perfectly.

Quite a wonderful image. I like the way it is so monochromatic without technically being black and white. The red coloring is a fortuitous happenstance. But I truly think that it is the composition and the reflections which are the true strength of the photo. Fav. I do have one question though. Because I am afraid I don't understand you comment about cutting out the photographer. And the wrong perspective.
December 29th, 2018
@taffy Thank you very much!
@mbrutus Thanks a lot. To explain my comment, I actually took advantage of a photo session that was taking place on the other side of the pond. The lady was not walking on the rim just because she was pondering suicide: a guy - who would appear in the far right side of the raw file - was taking her photo from a completely wrong perspective, being on the same side of the pond and not exploiting the reflection that, to my eye, is the "punctum" of this picture. So, in post production, I just cut away the "other" photographer and put the girl on the third, so, just to abide by the rules for once!
