Harmony in grey and gold

Apparently, I am going through James Abbott McNeill Whistler’s opus recently... lol.
A quasi-sooc shot (had to minimally crop a bothering cable on the right, impossible to exclude from the frame when shooting) of a couple of vintage toys.
None of them mine: the little PEN was my Christmas present for my best friend’s daughter, who’s fondly moving her first steps into photography!
What lovely toys - even if they are not yours to play with. Grey and gold not the most natural of partners to my mind, but I agree you have achieved harmony with the tones here. A handsome shot.

Interesting mixture of shapes and shadows. Never heard of the Pen but will investigate as a good present! . . now done so - rather expensive!

Great set of toys and reflections of them. Your friend's daughter is a lucky one for sure.

Beautiful combo. Might that be the amplifier for the Parker?

Thoughtful gift for a budding photographer. I can’t imagine she'll be anything except delighted. VML the shot too.
