Chronicles from the street #6

And those who didn’t wear masks shielded behind anything at hand. Waiting for the potential foe to withdraw.
those shadows have their own story!

Great storytelling -- and I love the shadows.

Great light/shadow

Your series is portraying the historic times that we are in, so well.

I like your title and your commentaries for this series. We walk in the suburbs, so that the photo opportunities on our walks are not as dramatic or interesting.

Great shadows!
April 6th, 2020
I also like shadow photos. And your caption says it all. Thank you.

I don’t think the rail will do much to keep him safe
April 6th, 2020
That is really cool!
April 6th, 2020
Super cool Domenico. Are you able to go to work? If not, maybe an English translation of some of your recipes???? Pretty please, with pineapple on top.

I like the way the man's shadow gives the real size of the risk he is taking... and imposing on others.

@overalvandaan Thank you, Saxa. At that time of the day they are great.
@taffy Thanks a lot!
@graemestevens Thank you! Mid afternoon is the best hour this season.
@helenhall Thank you very much. It is almost spontaneous...
@mbrutus But you have space, perhaps... I feel a little caged in the urban environment. Thank you a lot!
@radiogirl Thank you!
@wendytel Thanks to you, Wendy!
@jgpittenger I believe you’re right!
@themusketeers Thank you very much! Hey, aren’t you posting since a while?
@golftragic I could, but I refrain from going out as far as I can. As a friend of mine got the virus and is hospitalized since 18 days, I definitely do not want to be infected! But I work from home. However, agreed on the recipes. I will post them in the “sideways” album... but without pineapple...🤪
@vignouse... and "in posing”, too !? thanks a lot, Richard!
April 6th, 2020
@domenicododaro I've changed my comment slightly to make my meaning clearer...
April 6th, 2020
@vignouse haha, no no, I had got the meaning, I was just joking about the guy inadvertently posing for me..
April 6th, 2020
VML the balance of this shot; 2/3 is unknown. A synopsis of our daily lives...
Go gently and safely.
April 6th, 2020
Great shot

Nice light and shadows in this candid

Love how his shadow is coming from underneath the railing. Great image
April 6th, 2020
@domenicododaro Yippeeee!! Just let me know when you do please. Pretty please with pineapple on top is just a silly saying, not meant to be taken literally. Heaven forbid pineapple on pizza or anything else much except ice-cream.
April 7th, 2020
@domenicododaro What 'sideways' album please?? Have I been missing some of your postings?
April 7th, 2020
@mbrutus Yes. We do have space. And it is not difficult, should someone be approach to just step out into the street to keep our physical distance, since there is hardly ever any cars coming anymore. But today, two men delivering an extra refridgerator to a neighbor walked directly across our path. My wife, of all people - who watches news and press conference about Coronavirus all day long - was walking straight toward them and would either collided with them or entered too close to their physical space. I had to call out to her to wait to let them pass - and received no thanks for it. That is what classifies as an "event" on a typical suburban walk. That or a bug crawling across an otherwise perfect flower petal. You have the excitement of once teeming metropolis at your fingertips - if god willing, you can survive it. So do be careful. May we all live to see this pandemic in our rear view mirrors.

@s4sayer Thank you very much, Margo!
@bkbinthecity Thanks a lot Brian!
@seattlite Thank you so much, Gloria!
@leonbuys83 Thank you, Leon!
@golftragic Hahaha, I thought... After “When Harry meets Sally” my preferred food quote is “with [just anything] on the side”! I have a second album for spares, didn’t upload but a couple of photos so far. I am going to upload the recipes published on the book’s FB page... translated of course!
@mbrutus Wise words. The fact is, city life without the crowd is just like suburbs’ life without the green... Not that I am complaining, silence is an added value, for sure. Yes, let’s be careful. You too, be well and safe - thank you!

That shadow is so ominous. You're getting outside every day, is it because you walk Ala? And where you live you see people! Here, I have been inside for 26 days now and I have only seen 6 humans during that time.
April 8th, 2020
@jyokota Yes, every day Luitgard and I get out two-three times each to walk Ala, she’s older and older and needs to go out too often. I am worried about when we will be back to normality (if ever) because it will be a real problem with her.
April 8th, 2020
Ala is such a sweet sweet dog so it's fortunate for her that you are all at home now. I went out in my back yard yesterday! It was warm for one day.
April 8th, 2020
@jyokota We are having such a mild weather, warm but not hot, it would be beautiful to linger out. Instead...
April 8th, 2020
@domenicododaro Yeah it has. Not a lot of new ideas lately.
April 8th, 2020
@themusketeers Never mind about ideas, pick your camera(s) go out there (or better, these days, stay in there), and shoot! Ideas will come as a consequence!
April 10th, 2020
@domenicododaro Thanks for the advice:D
