We Canadians are pretty used to winter however this year has been one of the worse. In 1998 Quebec was hit with an ice storm that left people without electricity for up to 7 weeks. This year Montreal managed to avoid the major impact of the ice storm, however the Eastern Townships were not so lucky. Power was out for them from the 18th of December until the 27th.
You really did get a blast of winter down east. Toronto is still recovering. We are just in a deep freeze here in the west - but the power is on!
