2015 February 22: Today we had a few hours of break between Winter Weather Advisories, so I took the opportunity to get outdoors and tour my yard to examine how all my plants have fared through the recent bitter cold, snow, and ice. I was relieved to see all of them looking quite good.
Although it is usually one of the first plants to bloom each spring, the barely-beginning-to-open buds on our Tulip Magnolia (Magnolia liliiflora) showed promise for a soon-coming colorful spring. I am looking forward to seeing these blooms fully opened on a warm spring day!
