2015 February 25: Today we had a beautiful, heavy snowfall that resulted in 8.1 inches of accumulation. Every time that I looked out our windows, it seemed as if we were in the middle of a giant snow-globe.
For my area, this amount sets the February record since records began being kept in 1894! This is also the 4th highest snowfall accumulation ever in my city.
All afternoon and evening we enjoyed watching the snow softly falling; at nighttime we got out and walked around our neighborhood in the still-falling snow. As we walked around admiring the beautiful snow-covered scenery, I was very surprised that there was no ice on the roads...usually our snow is more ice and sleet than actual snow!
I am happy to have experienced this beautiful winter weather, and am now gearing up for spring and a fruitful planting season!
