Bradford Pear Trees

Day 79 of 365: Bradford Pear Trees

2015 March 20: We had a rather soggy day today, as a slight rain/mist fell all day long. However, it was brightened for me by the sight of beautiful bright white Bradford Pear trees in full bloom in several of my neighbors' yards!

There are a good many planted around my neighborhood; these trees directly behind my home are a nice contrast to a close neighbor's Cedar trees.
One of my all time favorite flowering trees! They are so magnificent in Spring, and in Fall, too.

Beautiful when the trees & flowers are blooming. You did a nice job capturing them.

Isn't it wonderful to see fruit trees blooming and Spriong in the air? I have Barlet Pear Trees and one Ornamental Pear tree, well the fruit trees were pollinated (thanks to the bees) with the ornamental pear and now I get NO fruit, but loads of beauitful blooms like in your photo!! So, I don't mind not getting the fruit! I hope you neighbors share with you? FAV!

Thanks, @Kathy! I'm sure the neighbors would share :), but all the trees around us are ornamental. Last year we put out a couple of apple trees and a peach tree (our first attempt at growing our own fruit); hopefully it will turn out well and we will have plenty for the neighborhood!
