Maple Tree

Day 141 of 365: Maple Trees

2015 May 21: A cold front came through last night, with the results that at noon today it was overcast and only 57 degrees F at my home! Our high today is forecast to be around 69 degrees F. (To put that in perspective, our normal high for this time of year is in the 80-degrees F.)

I found, however, that our maple trees are especially beautiful in this diffused late-springtime light!
What an interesting variety of maple. So nice and green. I wish we had more of them here. Just one species -- the red or swamp maple.

We had a cool front come through here too and it was an awesome change from all of our heat!! It's still cool today and early this morning/night!! It's 1 AM and only 66 degrees with a slight breeze! Makes you want to sleep outside if it wasn't for all the critters!!! Beautiful tree and love maple trees!! FAV!

Thanks @John and @Kathy ...I, too, am enjoying this wonderful cool that we are having. It is perfect weather for camping out! We have three types of maples in our yard: silver, red, and a sugar maple; all three are beautiful and a great source of shade in summer.
