2015 July 27: In the strong sunshine today I enjoyed seeing how brightly our yellow marigolds were gleaming against the dark opal basil growing beside them.
They are bright and cheerful and look fantastic next to the basil!!! I cannot stand the smell of the marigolds, but love all the colors and shapes they come in. When I have a garden I always plant them in between the rows, as they do keep bugs away!! Learned that many years ago and it really works. I must be a bug of some sort cause I don't like the smell of them either! LOL Great shot and clarity! FAV!
