2015 September 21: Today we visited the Birmingham (Alabama) Botanical Gardens for the first time ...It was a wonderful experience! The sky was overcast and slight sprinkles were falling as we arrived, but they soon stopped and the day became quite comfortable for walking.
The Gardens cover 65.5 acres; we ended up walking 7 miles as we ambled around admiring all the beautiful plants, flowers, ponds, and hard-scaping -- while we, of course, watched for birds. During the course of our walk, I took over 400 photos, a few of which I plan to showcase in the coming days.
