2015 December 12: Today we drove back to the town in which my husband and I grew up; it was a wonderful day to visit with relatives. It also happened to be the weekend on which my old neighborhood (Park Blvd) put out their Christmas luminarias.
Park Blvd began this tradition in the 1960's. When I was growing up, we all looked forward with eager anticipation to putting the candles out each Christmas season. Many, many people drove past to see the gorgeous lights on the nights that we did this ...traffic was bumper-to-bumper for hours each night!
I was not able to stay there long enough to get a night pic, but the neighborhood was still beautiful in the daylight also!
