2015 December 14: A few days ago while I was shopping at Lowe's Garden Center, they announced that all of their flats of pansies were on sale ...They were marked down from their regular price of $12 per flat to an unheard of price of 30 cents per flat!
These will bloom through our winter and spring, so I bought a couple of flats (around 70 pansies!) and brought them home anticipating the wondrous beauty that they would add to my winter flower bed. For the past few days I have enjoyed a nice variety of blooms: white, purple, red, yellow, and orange.
This vibrant orange and yellow pansy is so far one of my favorites.
