2016.02.03 Wednesday: Slightly before sunset my son and I were in the area of a nearby nature preserve, so we stopped by hoping for a short walk. It ended up being much shorter than we expected ...The recent rains had flooded all of the trails and the ponds were overflowing their banks by quite a bit. We stopped to admire the rushing creeks, the wonderful sunshine, and the beautiful scenery for a few minutes -- and took this photo of the Pavilion as a reminder of how wonderful it was to be outdoors on this day so early in February.
What special memories this will surely bring back to you and son over the years. Sounds like you both had a very special time together in the pretty sunshine.
