2016.02.05 Friday: While I was outdoors walking today, I noticed that the sky was clear except for a good many contrails overhead ...at one time I counted 11 all together!
This was so unusual that a local news station ran an article about it. According to them, these clouds are "technically called 'cirrus aviaticus;' they are clouds that develop in high altitudes as water vapor crystallizes around small exhaust particles (it makes small ice crystals) up around 20,000 to 30,000 feet."
It was interesting seeing them as I enjoyed our beautiful sunny day!
