2016.02.18 Thursday: The sunlight was brilliant this afternoon, making a wonderful contrast as it shone through the dappled shade onto our pile of Magnolia seed-pods. I enjoyed seeing the textures and tones that it created.
@maggiemae The magnolia seed-pods just fall off on their own every autumn; we've never cut them off. Since several types of birds like their seeds, we just pile them up underneath our magnolia trees all winter, and then bag them up in late spring when all the seeds are eaten out of them.
