2016.03.18 Friday: For the most part I don't bother with any of the seemingly-endless games and "tests" on facebook (although I have close friends who apparently take every last one of them!). For the most part, I find questions such as "which character from (fill in the movie, tv show, etc.) are you?" and "which color are you?" etc. to be a mind-numbing waste of time.
However, tonight I was intrigued by a quiz in which the player had to match the historical names of ancient cities with their present-day name ...At last, a test in which real knowledge was required! So I sat down and started taking it with some of the easy ones (Of course, everyone knows that Persia is now Iran!).
My son, who has extensive knowledge in this area from playing the video game "Civilization" sat down next to me and started answering with me. Thanks to his knowledge, we got the correct answer for every question.
At the end we were quite amused when this message announced our success ...To remember how funny we thought this was, I got my camera and took this photo of the message that was on my phone.
