2016.04.21: Rain fell on-and-off today, so I took a much-needed break from all the gardening and yard work to spend the day indoors. In the early afternoon, however, I heard quite a loud commotion going on in our back yard ...I looked out to find that our Carolina wrens were the proud parents of 5 babies!
The young ones were boldly exploring the world, inquisitively hopping about all over our deck and then plunging down to play in our woodpile. Perched in a tree overlooking, the parents were quite loudly calling to them.
It was a thrill to watch them and admire their seemingly-boundless energy!
