Bee on Nectar by dsp2

Bee on Nectar

2016.06.29 Wednesday: For the past couple of days we have seen hummingbirds sipping from the small amount of liquid that I always keep in our nectar feeders, so yesterday I filled them up in an attempt to entice these wonderful birds to stay. Today I noticed that bees also are drawn to the nectar.

I do not know bee identification well enough to know what type this is, but I stayed well away from it while taking this photograph.

Amazing how the smell of honey is so identifiable to both the birds and the bees!
