2016.12.28 Wednesday: This little wild fern is two years old now ...Quite unexpectedly, it sprang up volunteer in a crack between some bricks that we have stacked in our yard. With such little space for its roots, I did not expect it to survive, but it seems to have persevered and carved its niche there.
I have been happily surprised this winter to see it flourish despite the cold weather.
