2017.12.16 Saturday: We experienced beautiful weather today, so I packed a delicious picnic lunch and all of my family headed to Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge for a picnic and a birding walk.
Before walking their trail, we toured the Visitor Center and saw this beautiful display of a Belted kingfisher. The display is actually quite a bit larger than a real kingfisher, but I still enjoyed seeing it!
Sounds like a lovely day out. I like the idea of the display. That's a wonderful way of making sure that guest go home with at least one great photo, which this one is.
