2018.06.28 Thursday: We have experienced quite a few stormy days and nights lately, but today's storms had surprisingly strong winds and heavy rainfall. One storm this afternoon blew over our garden trellis and felled our tallest poplar tree.
In this season in which we have been experiencing temps in the triple digits, it was refreshing when this afternoon storm lowered our temperature to 65 degrees F.! Enjoying this delightful temperature, my son and I got outdoors between rainfalls to assess the damage and put our garden plants back in place.
The raindrops were quite beautiful glistening on our flowers ...I managed to take this pic before thunder and lightning started up again and we had to head back indoors.
