It's my birthday today. I was born in Chatham, Kent and when I was a little girl my parents would take me to the seaside most fine Sundays in summer. Lester took me down to my old stamping grounds for a birthday treat today. We went to Whitstable (famous for its oysters), Seasalter and Herne Bay. It was a lovely day, we had beautiful weather and we both enjoyed strolling round, sightseeing and taking photos. A big thank you to Lester!

Yay! You made it :) Happy Birthday. I was wondering if you had gone today. Hope you had a lovely day. It certainly is the perfect place to take lots of photos. My daughter is trying to decide whther to drop her Art A Level and take photography next year instead but her teacher needs convincing. I said I'd take her out in the holidays to take some photos for him so we'll probably head to Whitstable for the day. One of my dreams is to have a beach hut there but at £25k it is still just a dream! Glad you had a lovely day :) Oh and fab shots too!!

I wish we lived nearer the coast. I love it where we are but I do so miss being able to get to the beach easily.
Great capture. Took me back years to MY childhood. Used to rent seaside bungalow in Herne Bay every year. Bet its changed a bit! Hope you had a lovely birthday.
