Up until about 3.30pm it rained .. and rained.... and rained some more. There's usually a feather or two in the garden courtesy of the wood pigeons and I spotted this one on the ground yesterday and put it on the patio table. Today I dodged the downpours (not very successfully!) to take some photos of the rain drops on it. This was my favourite.
I don't know how long ago the feather had been shed but it says a lot about the waterproofing on feathers that it took a cloudburst to soak this one right through and that was following about 5 hours of almost continual rain that failed to do it.
Critique welcome. Veteran 365er, 2011 vintage. Only posting occasionally and irregularly now.
