Heron silhouette

I went to Little Britain lake this afternoon. It's in the London borough of Hillingdon and is a reclaimed gravel pit. There's lots of swans, geese and ducks there, and this heron. Little Britain is a favourite haunt of mine, although I hadn't been there for some time. I knew this heron lived there but I hadn't seen him perched anywhere before. I guess it helps that the trees are now leafless. :-)
