Playing sandpiper with the waves

Like playing chicken but a different make of bird. ;-)
Better on large view.
These sandpipers were feeding near the incoming waves and rushing away from each wave as it swept in. I don't think they have any flippers to wear so they don't swim much.
Taken on our holiday on the Wednesday morning - 16th May.

They are amusing when they do that. Lovely capture of them. Got the movement of them and detail of their feathers. I love to see the waves just breaking and rolling in, you have caught at perfectly. The blues and grey colours in this shot are full of light. Fav.
