Hello, pleased to meet you! I'm a Geranium. Aren't I pretty?
And so modest too!
These are flowering away on the banked up wall of the entrance to a pedestrian underpass in Aylesbury. The muted reds and greys in the background belong to the leaves of some Heuchera plants - Palace Purple, I think.
The colour on this is not hiked up; this particular variety of Geranium (Johnson's Blue, I think - yes, Blue, even though it's purple!) really is this deeply coloured.
I went to Aylesbury to get my eyes tested today. I need some new distance glasses and will also get some for use at the computer - when I can find some frames I like!
Critique welcome. Veteran 365er, 2011 vintage. Only posting occasionally and irregularly now.
I'm an abstract photography enthusiast but not exclusively so.

Beautiful colour and lovely detail, like the sharp contrast to the soft flowers behind. Nice hint of that heuchera behind. I love them but can't get them to grow well in my garden.
