I couldn't decide between this one and another shot from the sequence because I preferred different elements in each shot, so I posted them both. :-)

RAF Halton, which is just up the road from us, was staging a sort of Come and Say Hello event on the Manor Waste today. Its pipe band was performing there. This young lady was practising her drumstick twirling while the pipers were tuning up.
The band was very good. It played a wonderful tune called Highland Cathedral which although the title sounds Scottish, was actually written by two German composers. A recording of it by another band can be seen/heard here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pz6fUJu2uW0
