Lester and I decided to take a chance on the weather and we went to Southend today for lunch and a walk by the beach. The sun shone! Woohoo!
I saw this couple sitting on the wall by the beach and was struck by the way that they seemed to be very much together despite the fact they were looking in opposite directions.
The title is taken from On Marriage, part of Kahlil Gibran's The Prophet. The import of it is that people need their own spaces in a relationship for it to develop and flourish.
