First and foremost, thank you so much for the views, lovely comments and favs for my recent photos. Each and every one is very much appreciated.
The shell mosaic at the Verulamium Museum, St. Albans*, is absolutely beautiful. There are thousands of tesserae arranged in a deceptively simple design which is very reminiscent of a scallop shell.
I'm probably being fanciful but I get a wonderful vibe from it and so go and visit it from time to time and spend a while soaking it in and then taking some photos of it from different angles. Wish I could take it home, really :) This was from today's outing.
*St.Albans in Hertfordshire grew up around the ancient Roman settlement of Verulamium and some fabulous Roman mosaics and remains have been discovered there and preserved and housed in and near the purpose built museum.
Critique welcome. Veteran 365er, 2011 vintage. Only posting occasionally and irregularly now.
I'm an abstract photography enthusiast but not exclusively so.

Fab piece. Thanks for including the link. Your shot is great, and it shows the detail of the small tiles. I love mosaics, so I don't blame you to soak from time to time.
