Grand Pier pavilion

Lester and I took a break from our journey to Exeter and had lunch and a walk at Weston-Super-Mare. And I took some photos. :-)
This is part of the pavilion at the end of the pier. The pier's had a somewhat chequered history : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Pier,_Weston-super-Mare and this pavilion is a modern construction which was completed in 2010 and replaced the one which burned down in 2008. I rather like it; it's got a distinctly retro look.

We used to stop off at Weston-super-Mare every year en route from Essex to Cornwall ..... I have very fond memories of it! The pier looks a lot better than I remember it!
