It looks a bit like one of those early, dodgy, studio sets, I think, but it's for real and, again, better on large view if you have a little extra time. Thank you.
Lester and I made a detour on the way home on Sunday and visited Portland Bill, a narrow promontory on the Dorset coast and source of Portland stone, which has been widely used as a building material, including for some well known buildings both here and abroad : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portland_stone
The walker stopped to check her walking gear while I was lining up, so I included her to give some idea of scale. I don't know why the dressed stones that she's standing next to are there.

This definitely is fantastic when viewed large! The different tones of blue against the rock and sand are great. I really like the way it's framed. A definite FAV for me.
