At peace by dulciknit

At peace

Probably better on large view if you have a moment. Thank you.
Part of the churchyard of St. Mary's, Wenodver's parish church.
There's a black and white version in the extras album.

They are both terrific! Not sure which I like best.

Lovely soft colours, more tree detail in this one but both are very lovely

The b&w and color are like two different pictures - both have an interesting mood to them. This looks like it could go back quite a while. I too enjoy looking around older cemetaries - there's a small one that I go past every morning on my walk all by itself - goes back to the early 1800's

They may be at peace but they also look as if they are on a rolling sea on account of the subsidence!

A nice shot. It is good to see that the ground is not overgrown.

I like this one best. I love to see the different shades and colours to the stones. I think the green grass gives the at peace and softer feel than the b/w. That is good too as it gives strong images.

Both photos are terrific but I like this one best because like Jen says the shades and tones are so beautifully captured in this scene.

Very nice shot!!

I like how the colours all blend together in graveyards. The may not be conformity in life, but there certainly is in graveyards, given enough time.

I like the B&W... more moody.

@sugarmuser I don't think it's so much a matter of right or wrong, more like what I wanted it to say. Some time when I remember I fancy doing a moonlit shot there for spooky, always provided the place isn't locked at night.

@sugarmuser I still think they're peaceful places but spooky would be fun for a change.

@dulciknit I was thinking more spooky... It would be great to dress as zombies to take some shots..

@sugarmuser I'm not sure Wendover could cope with a fat 60 year old dressed as a zombie walking through the High Street at night. Although it might make interesting copy for the village newsletter.
:-DDD

@dulciknit hahahaha... I would like to see it :)

@sugarmuser It's unlikely to happen, I couldn't cope with it myself. :-D
