Probably better on large view if you have a moment - lots of detail! Thank you.
Narrowboats always attract a great deal of attention and these are in a very busy place. These two and their drivers are just waiting for the lock to fill right up so that they can enter it but I thought the number of people watching them made it look like a bit of theatre.
Lester and I went to London on Sunday for a walk through Regent's Park and along Regent's Canal to Camden Lock. It's a fascinating place - there's people selling all sorts of things that are a bit different and there's lots of food stalls where you can buy and try quite a variety of food. It gets very busy but it's all good-humoured and great fun.

You make driving to London sound like an every day normal activity.....LOL!!!!! How lucky to be so close to London and I envy you ;-) An interesting shot! -- Looks and sounds like a fun place to visit.
It's like an audience. It must be something of a novelty where you are. Here the narrowboats are pretty commonplace, and you definitely would not get people cramming bridges just to see one traverse a lock. For that reason, I find this scene quite amusing. :)
@sabresun This is near Camden Lock market in London, Matt, and there's lots of people there on a Sunday. I live near Aylesbury in Bucks and there's long stretches of the Grand Union Canal nearby and you mostly don't get people doing this here, either - certainly not in these numbers! :-D
What a great way to spend a Sunday. This looks like such an interesting place to visit - such wonderful detail in your photo and the color is really great.
Superb capture of this busy place. I love the rivers and seeing the narrow boats going thro the locks, I can see why the people are watching them. This sounds like an interesting place to visit.
