This is very near my neck of the woods.... were you here over the Bank Holiday weekend? I love the symetry and repeating lines, and those two little figures out on the mud. I've never seen this, I must go and check out, perhaps with @heidihp on one of our field trips!
@jackie8 Thanks, Jackie. Yes, we went up on the Sunday. We pop up to Southend on a whim sometimes if the weather's good and have lunch and a stroll along the esplanade. Like fools we forgot about the Bank Holiday weekend this time and it was heaving when we got there, so went on to Shoeburyness.
I can almost smell the sea. That is quite an impressive and dominating feature. I like that you have the two people in there in the distance, they add to the sense of scale and 'the living with-ness" of the place.
