Probably better on large view if you have a moment. Thank you. :)
It would have been nice if there'd been something in the foreground, or someone walking up or down that path in the distance but it wasn't to be. Never mind, the light was smashing and I decided to take some shots anyway because it was a good opportunity to make a two exposure blend, something I've been wanting to try for some time.
I've taken shots to try it before but they were night ones and I ran into problems with digital noise.
Thank you very much for all your comments on my shots, they are all always very much appreciated.

Great result, Alison. I am waiting to attempt a "landscape merge" - a recent magazine article showed how to do it (in theory!). You are right that your photo must be viewed large - the only drawback with 365, though they have said they are looking into the problem. Fav
Really beautiful light I have to say. I like the tones as the hillside merges away. It makes you feel like walking and exploring the hidden areas of the countryside. I'll bet that the air around was crisp and fresh too.
@hamble Thank you. Lol! ...umm, Lester was still in bed when I left home (about 30 mins earlier than the shot time) to get to this bit of countryside. :-D
Fabulous light and tones here. Def one for closeup to see all the great detail. Think Jean is right and person not needed. (Thankfully Lester in bed!) That little fence on rh side just breaks the front expanse well and leads your eye back to the tree line just behind.
