I saw a promising looking subject while we were out and about earlier in the week and took a drive out this evening to get some sunset shots. Unfortunately, despite my best efforts with the compass on the original trip, the sun still set in completely the wrong part of the sky and the bit of sky in the area I planned to use didn't do anything interesting. Expletive deleted !

Comparing the two shots is quite interesting. Like the colors and composition here. Like the green and white with touch of yellow flowers. Know where you've been with the hoped for sunset shot - that's so maddening!
Such a completely different feel from your earlier shot. Definitely a close up view to capture all the detail of the reflection and flowers. Lovely composition with the view thro the beautiful trees. That darn sun, it just isn't reliable!
