Ely cathedral - octagon, lantern, and nave ceiling

The current cathedral building dates from the 12th century, the octagon and lantern were added during the 14th and the nave ceiling was a Victorian installation as part of a restoration project.
Lester and I went to Ely the day before we visited our daughter. Ely cathedral's architecture is wonderful.
I have taken some photos since our weekend away, honest! :-)

A brilliant capture. Fav! David and I went to the flower festival in Ely Cathedral an few weeks ago. I did not get many good shots because the light was so poor.
