Room with a view

We stay in Travel Lodge hotels when we go away for short breaks. They're cheap - and basic, of course - and the beds are mostly very comfortable. I don't think we've been in one with such a great view out of the window before, though. We've never been on the 5th floor, either. Thankfully, there was a lift!
This is the River Medway running through Maidstone, Kent's county town.

That is rather a cool view. It reminds me of a hotel I stayed in in Germany once. Can't remember where. I think it is the canal-like view. Nice lines.

There's nothing like a Travelodge. You know what you're getting and it's affordable, clean and comfortable. Perfect really. What a wonderful view to boot!
