Lester had to see a man about a melodeon this afternoon, so time was limited but we still managed to snatch a couple of hours in Windsor for a wander round. It's a favourite haunt of ours.
Critique welcome. Veteran 365er, 2011 vintage. Only posting occasionally and irregularly now.
I'm an abstract photography enthusiast but not exclusively so.

Whatever did we do without a cellphone in our ear all day? This is a lovely capture drawing you along the walkway to the back. Stunning in B&W. Now tell me...What is the difference between a melodeon and an accordion?
Not sure about losing the top, but it does look straighter.. and a bit more contrast? I agree with that choice! :-) Lester had to see a man about a melodeon. One too many accidentals and he was ready to pull out all the stops. It was time to go push some buttons.
@m9f9l I liked the other version as a comp. but I didn't think there was enough emphasis on the girl, she was kind of lost in the frame. Didn't do anyhthing else to it though ; the crop's probably brought out the lines and contrasts better.
Great start on the novel, I'm looking forward to reading the rest. ;-)
Nice candid with lots of geometry going on. I worry about those that walk and talk sometimes. We have street cars in Portland Oregon that run quiet and a couple of people have been hit for doing just this thing. I love this in B&W it really emphasizes the walkway and covering. Nicely done!
Perfectly done. I do wish people would look where they're going, though - people are constantly blithely crossing roads while texting without bothering to look up.
Nice candid and I like all curves and lines in the image. How close were you Alison and what camera were you using... she was oblivious whatever you did!
@jackie8 Thank you, Jackie. I use a Canon 500D. This was cropped into quite a bit. She's on a railway footbridge, to give you some idea of distance ; I was at the other end of it. She did spot me eventually but didn't seem to care. It's Windsor, I was probably written off as just another tourist - which I was. :-D

You have got the focus of her so well here. The softness of the shapes and lines behind her are still well defined enough to pull the eye into them. Good capture.
