Ramble alert. :-)
This is St.Cecilia, she's the patron saint of musicians. I came across her in a church I looked round yesterday.
Back in February I decided that for the third year of my project I'd concentrate more on getting as many reasonable shots as I could from one photoshoot and also on improving my processing, rather than aiming at one picture per day. But I know I've been getting stale of late.
I've still got a few photos that I'd quite like to put in my album, so I'm going to use them as fillers for a while and concentrate more on enjoying my music and using it as brain r&r.
Please excuse me if I also back-pedal on commenting a bit but I need a little time for me right now.
In case you're wondering what on earth St.Cecilia's doing, she's playing a wonderful instrument called a portative organ. If there were 48 hours in the day and I had the five thousand pounds+ they cost to spare, I'd love to learn to play one, but between the camera, the hammer dulcimer and the singing I've got more than enough to keep me out of mischief. :-D
Critique welcome. Veteran 365er, 2011 vintage. Only posting occasionally and irregularly now.
I'm an abstract photography enthusiast but not exclusively so.

I am getting a real taste for Stained Glass Windows, and they are flying up my must shoot list. This is a fav. I watched your clip, very interesting, very medieval. I sent the link to my son Ben who is in love with the joy of discovering music at the moment.
A beautiful shot. I think it is a very good idea to look at you took a while ago. I too feel very stale at times and take a few days break. Perhaps we could make a date to meet again.
Such a beautiful shot, so colourful, well taken. Looking forward to seeing some more of your fillers, don't worry about commenting on mine, I'd rather look at shots
@seanoneill Thank you, Sean. I hope Ben enjoys the clip and long may his love of music continue ; it's a great source of enjoyment and a constant friend and helper.
I'm very much looking forward to seeing your stained glass windows.
Lovely stained glass window and interesting info. I used to be a member of a St. Cecelia Church back in the 70s. I didn't know she was the patron saint of musicians. I can relate to your decisions about posting photos and my feeling is that after the first year, just do what ever you want when you want. I don't even think of photos as fillers, or when a photo was taken or when it's posted. At this point, I just hope I make it through year 3 as I am running out of ideas :-) I see you have posted 1336 photos....that's quite an achievement.
Beautiful stained glass. Your project is yours. It's my opinion that pictures are greater when they come from the heart. If your project makes you smile, well, then it's worth it. If someone else smiles, it's a bonus.
This is stunning and I can appreciate how you feel about posting every day because I am beginning to find it a bit of a struggle especially now that the weather is getting grotty
Beautiful photo. I've been thinking about adopting your approach for year 3. Not sure I can manage taking a strict photo a day approach for another year
You're such a wonderful follower Alison and always leave such lovely feedback, and that all takes a great deal of time. Your project, your rules.... I think there should be a sister 365 called something like '365 & beyond' to be used how we want, no pressure.
Such a gorgeous window. I love stained glass...even though I consider myself a modern woman! I look a couple of certificate courses in this art...way back before kids! Alison, enjoy your project the way you want...I know I thoroughly enjoy viewing your images :)
@kazlamont Thank you, Kazzy, the feeling is mutual.
Do we get to see some of the stained glass work you did? I hope so! It's not easy doing a 365 when you have kids to look after, I take my hat off to you. It's easy for us retired lot!
Such a lovely image and explanation. I understand your need to pull back from the demands of this project. It can be all consuming! Definitely post older photos. I look forward to seeing them. I always enjoy your images, narratives, and appreciate your insightful comments. Thank you for that. Don't feel pressured. Just do what works for you.
It's amazing the instruments that saintly lady is credited with playing! A nicely edited shot of the window, Alison. Btw I began to panic when I couldn't find your rainbow icon - what have I missed whilst not being able to get much done on the internet?
@janturnbull Thank you for the comments and your concern, Janet.
I'm just feeling rather stale, so getting away from the camera to give my brain something different to do for a little while. I'm posting a few fillers and commenting as and when.
Looks like you're having a wonderful time down there!
Lovely shot, and its good that you give interesting information too! Have a good r&r, I often wonder how you do it, you've never missed a day commenting on my pics! Please don't feel you have to!
@hamble Thank you, Hamble, that's sweet of you. I only lasted a week without the camera but I'm still going to do my best to arrange things so that I spend a bit of time each day on music practice.
I'm very much looking forward to seeing your stained glass windows.
