He was propped up against a shooting stick - not the type for resting a gun on but a mono-pod walking stick with a top that opens out into a small seat. I noticed how his left leg (right as we look at this) hid the stick if you caught the angle right and thought it would make a fun shot. I explained it to him and he sportingly agreed to me taking his photo.
