Endings

... and beginnings. Yesterday was the end of my 7th year as a member of the 365 project, today sees the beginning of my eighth year here.*
I am very appreciative of all the support I receive, a heartfelt thank you to you.

*I'm not very many shots into my 4th 365, though!

@dide Thank you, Dianne. I should perhaps say that I have only completed three full projects in that time! I do something connected with photography everyday though.

By projects, I presume you mean challenges or a series of like shots? I'm in my 7th year and have never done one of those!

@maggiemae I don't do them either, Maggie. No, I've only done 3 complete 365s, not 7 (one for each year I've been here).

Really like this - one of those eye of the beholder ones - and it appeals to mine!

Love the patterns and textures. Woodworking has been my hobby for many years and I love to see the different wood grain.

I have just gone back through your photos for the past year and read your article in Photokonnexion. I am inspired. I love abstract, too, and you have spurred me on to try to up my game. Now following your project.

Congrats Alison, so well done. Love this, lots of good mixed shapes, textures, colours and nice shadows and light. Great Crop to give this composition. Fav

I just have to fave this familiar view at our place. Allison, you would go crazy with your abstracts if we let you loose in Michael's shed and where he has timber stacked outside. Also, I am impressed that you are pressing on after seven years.

Excellent image. Nice presentation and well lit. With a pattern shot like this I often recommend a break in the pattern to emphasis the continuity. But with this image that is not necessary since the broken planks make for the interest in the change of continuity. Nicely done.

@netkonnexion Thank you. I can't take credit for the light, it was just what was available.
I think there's more *lack* of pattern than there is pattern, really : different angles of the grooves in the wood, different colours, no pattern creatd by the way the colours are place, no uniformity in the shape of the pieces...
